It will be best if you create a folder on your computer for your Host materials there is quite a bit that you will want stored in one location for easy access.


STEP 1: REVIEW RULES/GUIDELINES

In order to be able to conduct tournaments correctly, it's very important to review the TD guide provided by Cases along with our WildNCrazy Buccaneers guidelines. These will help you avoid problems and incidents that could result in losing TD status. The WildNCrazy Buccaneers guidelines will be updated from time to time. We will notify you when you will need to come back and re-read them.

STEP 2: DOWNLOADS

Multi Timer Nifty little multi timer we use to time the rounds. If you have a kitchen timer, you can use that also.

Vaults Scoresheet This is an excel program spreadsheet. Some td's like to use this to tally the token scores, you will still need to write all the pairs and scores down and then transfer them to the spreadsheet. You can of course use a calculator if you are more comfortable with that. If you are unable to open this program, please Contact Admin and we will locate one for you. This spreadsheet is capable of 2 vs 2 scoring also, that you will learn down the road. Please open this up and practice placing scores in it and ask your trainer if you need more assistance.

KeyText This is the macro program. IF YOU HAVE VISTA ON YOUR COMPUTER. THIS PROGRAM WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY. DO NOT INSTALL!! This is the nifty little program that does your typing in the chat box!!

WildNCrazy Buccaneers Macros Once you've downloaded KeyText click the link and follow the instructions on how to set up Keytext and your macros.

Screen Shot Program This is a program that will take continuous shots of your screen. You can set the timer to how quickly you would like the screenshots taken. This program will not interrupt macs, nor your chatting ability. If you need assistance with this program, please contact admin, we will try to work with you and get it working. It is a good idea to practice with this program in an empty room while running macs, so you can see how it works.

Tips and Pointers You will want to print this one and keep it handy at first. This document has some helpful tips that will help you with setting up tournaments.

YAHOO! Messenger This is a free messenging program. If you do not have it yet, you will need to get it. This is how we communicate outside of the pogo rooms and assist you in getting set up as host. We will have meetings occasionally in yahooalso.


STEP 3: SETTING UP MACRO'S

Keytext Macro set-up Insturctions Once you have downloaded the Macro's to your keytext program, it is recommended you go to an empty room and practice using them to see how they work and look. The trainers will also advise you on how to use this program. Do NOT change any rules/macs. You are permitted to edit the start, stop and I'm having a tourney macs, but not the timing portion of them. If you are unsure how to do this it is best left alone.**** There will be times when updates are available. An email will be sent to you asking you to download the new macs!!****

Screen Shot set-up Insturctions Once you have dowloaded the Screen Shot Program, follow these instuctions to properly set it up. This program will not interrupt macs, nor your chatting ability. If you need assistance with this program, please Contact Admin. It is a good idea to practice this program in an empty room while running macs so you can see how it works.


STEP 4: GETTING YOUR POGO HOST BADGE

Go to Pogo.com home Page..

Click "Help"

When another window opens up. Click on "Email Us" on the Left Side.

Sign in with name and password

On this page you will see 1. PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR GAME AND CATEGORY. Next to "Game" in the drop down box you will Choose.. "Pogo Games"

Next to that in the drop down box you will Choose "Not Game Specific" In the "Category" drop down box you choose "Gameplay Info". Then the drop down box next to that you choose "League and Tournaments"

In the questions box Copy and Paste this in the box.......

Click "Finish and Save" Please make sure before you close out the window that is says "THANKS "Your Name" A CONFIRMATION EMAIL WILL BE SENT TO THE FOLLOWING EMAIL ADDRESS:...." Then you done. If there is no problems you should receive your badge with in 24 hours. If you do not receive it please contact admin.


STEP 5: SETTING UP TOURNEYS!

STEP 6: PRACTICING FAKE TOURNEYS!

Go ahead and go to the training site at Myleague.com/tdtraining. Once there you'll see where you can set up not only a fake tourney but you'll see a list of fake players and passwords that you can sign into your tourney and use to walk you through the tourney operations! You can check this out alone and practice and/or grab a Trainer/HTD to help you with it. Cases link is also available on our main page, on the left, at the bottom. Good Luck and have fun!!

Please do not attempt to set up your first LIVE tourney without contact from a Trainer to go over everything with you. You also must have an Trainer/HTD present at your first tourney, just in case you need some assistance. If the trainer is not available, they will assign someone to be with you. Once the Trainer/HTD feels you are capable, you will be set free!

You may host in any game that we offer but some games are harder to host in than others, we would like to suggest that you host in the easier games until you are more comfortable with your new hosting skills. Such games as Vaults of Atlantis, Lottso and Pogo Bowling.
